I thought it would be worse, to not eat food for an entire day and night. It wasn’t that bad. In fact, it was easy, and I felt high-energy, and full of life. I was hungry a few times during the day, and I ate a little Isagenix Snack and it went away. I also drank plenty of water.
Don’t forget that I had to drink the Cleanse for Life drink four times during the day too, which I thought made me feel pretty good anyway.
This morning I woke up, and I wasn’t hungry. It was a good thing too, because I had my doctor appointment where they took some blood to test my cholesterol and other health checks. I had to fast for 12 hours before the appointment, so it came naturally on the heels of my cleanse day.
Erica and I went out to breakfast afterwards, and I had a nice meal. I’m looking forward to my shakes today to! That vanilla/oatmeal/peanut butter one was really good!
Ok, now for the out-of-doors, where I will check our snowmelt drainage system and play in the dirt for a little while!

I haven’t been hungry at all today, despite not having eaten any traditional food. I’ve supplemented my cleanse drinks with a couple of Isagenix Snacks – little chocolate flavored chewable tablets. They can actually hold you over. I’ve been drinking water like a good boy, too. I took a walk with the dogs, and I’ve been working on some website projects this morning, and had another cleanse drink around lunch.
Tomorrow I have a doctor’s appointment to have a physical, and some bloodwork done to measure my cholesterol and other important numbers, which I hope to change during my cleanse month. I may go back and have the numbers measured again after the month, to see if just a month of cleansing will do anything there. I’m most interested in lowering my cholesterol and blood pressure.

What does that mean? What’s a Cleanse Day? One day a week, for the 30 day cleanse, I’ll just have liquids for the day. It’s like a mini-fast, to help my body get rid of toxins and flush them away. Isagenix “Cleanse for Life” liquid is what I’ll be drinking, with water, and actually a few Isagenix snacks to tide me over between the liquid meals.
This morning I woke up feeling pretty energized. I usually will take a little while to even be able to talk or function and interact with others, until I’ve had my first cup of coffee. But this morning I felt like talking right away. I’ve had my morning Ionix drink, and a class of clean water, and one of the Natural Accelerator supplement tablets, as I’m doing every day during this month’s cleanse.
I’m also going to drink plenty of water Read the rest of this entry

I’m surprised that I feel so much energy right now. I didn’t drink any coffee this morning, but I feel as if I did. I’ve been pretty energized this morning, after drinking the Ionix juice drink, and then a Chocolate shake with oatmeal in it.
I’m about to go out and walk the dogs (our houseguests) around the block, and take in the lightly falling snow, 30 degree temps, and no wind. We’ll see how I last through lunch and dinner.
I’m having a normal lunch, and then a shake for dinner. I’ll keep you posted on what the 30 days looks like in terms of what I will be eating, but it shouldn’t be bad at all. I don’t think I’ll be hungry; those shakes fill you up.
UPDATE: I had a vanilla shake for dinner, with some oatmeal in it, and a tablespoon of natural peanut butter. It was awesome!

Here's what the bottle looks like - 32 servings
The first morning. I’m drinking a tall glass of “juice”, a couple ounces of Ionix Supreme liquid mixed with cold water. It’s designed to provide energy, healthy antioxidants and vitamins, and give a foundation of health to my day.
Kenyon Salo introduced me to Isagenix, and told me how he uses it: he holds one or two ounces of the concentrate in his mouth until it warms up, and then swallows it. He said he can feel it Read the rest of this entry

Well, it’s Nutritional Cleansing is a pattern of changing eating habits to clean and bolster the body by using fasting, drinking herbal remedies, and infusing the body with nutrients. As I understand this, the 30-day Cleanse that I am embarking on is a way to prepare my body and begin it’s training to b able to absorb good nutrition and be able to use it. I’ll also be able to clean my body of toxins and other unhealthy substances, to make room for the good, whole foods. I’ll also be able to get all the vitamins and minerals, and essential nutrients, that I’m missing through eating all the regular foods I eat from the grocery store. Read the rest of this entry
